Noida Man Loses Life Savings in Stock Market Investment Scam, Cyber Fraudsters Demand 23.44 Lakh (TIN)

Noida: Cyber fraudsters have allegedly swindled a 62-year-old man out of his lifetime savings by promising huge profits in the stock market. The accused initially displayed profits worth lakhs of rupees on an online platform in the name of investments. However, when the victim attempted to withdraw his money, they blocked the withdrawal by making various excuses. The fraudsters also pressured him to deposit an additional 23.44 lakh, claiming it was necessary to recover his invested amount.

Victim Contacts Alleged Investment Company

Kaushal Dhiman, a resident of Amrapali Princely Estate in Sector 76, has lodged a complaint at the Cyber Crime Police Station. He stated that he came into contact with a company named Delta Techinvest Private Limited on September 19, 2026. The company allegedly claimed to be registered with Delta Securities and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Subsequently, he communicated with the customer care department and chief analyst Gul Tekchandani over phone calls and WhatsApp.

Fake Trading Profits Used to Gain the Victim's Trust

According to the victim, profits were continuously displayed in his online trading account during the initial stages, which strengthened his confidence and encouraged him to keep investing. However, when he attempted to withdraw his funds, the accused demanded more money on various pretexts, including account freezing and reactivation. Later, the withdrawals were blocked by claiming that the account's credibility was at 65%.

20.26 Lakh Invested, Only 35,000 Returned

The victim deposited a total of 20,26,399 between September 19 and October 20, but received only 35,000 in return. The accused demanded an additional ₹23,44,329 in the name of service charges and warned that the account could face complications if the payment was not made within seven days. Frustrated by the repeated demands, the victim approached the police. An FIR was registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station on November 6. Police are now investigating the entire matter.
